Where We Ride

Ride 4 Autism is the concept of The Mtn Misfits, a small group of mountain bike riders that got together little by little. In 2022, Derrick asked Manny his thoughts on starting a charity event to benefit individuals with autism. Manny, having a kid on the spectrum, thought it was a great idea and the rest of the guys in the group agreed.

We originally thought it was going to be a small turnout with a few friends and family. There was so much interest from riders and cycling companies that wanted to help out in any way, that our first event had hundreds of riders involved and over 80 sponsors.

We like to ride everywhere in Southern California and expose each other to new trails. We all have different skill levels so we always help each other get down the trail safely. Most of the time...

We like riding Mt. Wilson, El Prieto, Simi Valley, Greer Ranch, Skypark Bike Park, Southride, Santiago Oaks, Aliso, Laguna, Sycamore, Marshall Canyon, The Luge, Fullerton Loop, Bonelli, Snow Valley and Snow Summit.

I had previously been into Downhill Skateboarding, but when that got too dangerous a few of us broke off and started MTB'ing. I've always enjoyed extreme-ish sports, and I get a lot out of the forced focus/Flow state.

Anywhere my buddies are at! I can have a great time pretty much anywhere on a bike. But I mostly like steep, loose, and chunky.
